Hi there! My name is Tomoko and I am a new intern for Monsoon. I wanted to share my journey back to the Philippines this summer.

I finished up my last three years of high school here in the Philippines at MICA/Faith Mindanao before I took off to college in Southern California. When I came back to the Philippines for the first time in a year and a half this past Christmas break, I was really enjoying my time. I was eager to find a good reason to come back to the Philippines for the summer, and I heard about Monsoon. Since it seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to use my photojournalism skills while knocking out some internship credits and being with family, I went for the opportunity. One of my family friends got me connected with Ann Kuy! :)
