Here in the office we have been working on putting a podcast together. We want to show people how God is working in Asia-Pacific by telling stories, highlighting Bible translation work, playing music, and having conversations….all in a podcast. It has been so fun brainstorming ideas and discussing how we can make this an interesting program. I miss this kind of work. Writing scripts, choosing music, voicing “spots”. Our podcast will play like a radio broadcast and I am insanely happy to be one of the hosts!
This past week, my colleague and I were able to travel to a local studio to discuss possible partnership. We do not have a radio studio here, so need to work with another ministry to record our programs. We left after our short meeting on cloud 9. Every detail we hoped to discuss worked out perfectly!
I was then tasked to write a tentative script for myself and the other host. I also am responsible for choosing music. This is my niche. I miss the days of live radio. It’s spontaneous and fun and exciting. I am looking forward to recording the live portions this week and soon making the podcast available for download. Hopefully before long, you will also be able to listen and enjoy hearing about God’s miraculous work in Asia-Pacific!
